Badrinath and Hemkund Tour

Duration : 6 Nights / 7 Days
Destinations : Delhi - Rishikesh - Joshimath - Govindghat - Gangaria - Hemkund Sahib - Gangaria - Govindghat - Badrinath - Rishikesh - Delhi

Day 01 : Delhi - Rishikesh (260 KMS)
Morning after breakfast depart by motor coach for Rishikesh. Lunch enroute. Arrive Rishikesh in the afternoon and check into the hotel. Evening visit Laxmun Jula & Geeta Bhawan. Dinner & overnight.

Day 02 : Rishikesh - Joshimath (252 KMS, 7 – 8 Hrs Drive)
Morning after breakfast drive to Joshimath. Lunch enroute. Arrive Joshimath in the evening and check into the hotel. Dinner & overnight at the hotel. It is the most important town on route to Badrinath and is a major halting station. Its religious history, magnificent scenery, bracing climate and well stocked market provide the visitor with all he needs for a holiday or a pilgrimage. The ancient name of Joshimath was Jyotirmath because Adi Guru Shankaracharya attained englightenment here in a cave. In this cave he wrote his famous Shankar Bhasya and set forth in the great task of reviving the Hindu religion.

Day 03 : Joshimath -Govindghat - Gangaria (22 KMS Drive + 14 KMS Trek)

Morning drive to Govindghat and then trek to Gangaria. Ghangria is situated on the bank of Pusphavati river also known as Laxman Ganga , surrounded by fur trees. Overnight in the guest house.

Day 04 : Gangaria - Hemkund Sahib(4329 MTS, 6 KMS)
Today trek to Hemkund Sahib. The high altitude Lokpal lake, known as Hemkund (4329 mts.) lies in heavenly environs. Encircled by seven snow clad peaks and their associated glaciers, it reflects its surroundings enchantingly on its crystal clear serene waters. The glaciers from Hathi Parvat and Saptrishi peaks feed the lake and a small stream called Himganga flows out of this lake. Despite its ancient connections, Hemkund/Lokpal was discovered by a Sikh Havaldar, Solan Singh and became a major pilgrimage centre only after 1930.

Day 05 : Gangaria - Govindghat - Badrinath(3130 MTS, 14 KMS Trek + 22 KMS Drive)

Today trek to Govindghat and then drive to Badrinath. It is situated on the bank of Alaknanda , standing like twin sentinels over the valley are the Nar and Naryana peaks,and in the distance soars the respelendent Neelkanth peak. The Badrinath temple is in the lap of Narayana Parvat with Neelkanth in the background. It is called the Moksha dham/Vishnu lok. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06 : Badrinath - Rishikesh (296KMS, 10 HRS DRIVE)

Today drive to Rishikesh. Lunch enroute. Arrive Rishikesh in the evening and check into the hotel for dinner & overnight.

Day 07 : Rishikesh - Delhi (260 KMS, 6- 7 HRS Drive)

Morning depart by motor coach for Delhi. Lunch enroute. Arrive Delhi in the afternoon & terminate the tour.
